You will need to bring:
Food and refreshments. Sheets, Towels, tea towels, toiletries and bathroom requirements. There is a shop at the camping ground that sells most basic groceries. A vacuum cleaner, broom, mop etc along with cleaning agents are supplied for your convenience.

Tariff
$80 per night double (minimum rate) and $10 per night for each extra person. Maximum 8 persons. Weekly and off peak rates available. Strictly NO PETS

Bookings are to be made by phoning Akitio Beach store on (06) 374 3450 or for general enquiries phone Palmerston North (06) 355 9156. A non refundable deposit is required

Payment
Payment of your account to Jeff or Jude at Akitio Beach store . Cheques are to be made payable to K. Hibell.

On Arrival
Pick up key from Akitio Beach store at the camping ground. Turn water on at the tank (tap in line with pipe) and power on at the meter box at back door. Close doors of fridges and freezers you require and make sure they are plugged in and switched on at the wall

On Departure
The house should be vacated prior to midday. Leave the house and grounds clean and tidy, remove all rubbish. Leave fridges and freezer doors open after cleaning. Turn power off at the meter box and the tap off at the tank (off is at right angle to pipe). Return key to Akitio Beach store and settle account. Please report anything broken or not working to Jeff or Jude.

Water Conservation
The property is not on the town water supply and is therefore solely reliant on rain water. We request that you conserve water at all times especially over the summer months.

Septic Tank
Sewerage and waste water is disposed of through a septic tank system and it is important that no plastic or nappies are flushed.

Phones
No land line is available from this house, but Telecom cell phone signals are obtainable from parts of the property.

Rubbish
Rubbish should be placed at the gate in a secured bag for collection early Monday morning. Bags require a rubbish collection sticker which are available from the camping ground store. Cans may be dropped off at the school for recycling. If you are vacating on a non-rubbish day then you must take your rubbish with you.

Akitio offers surfcasting from the beach or river, boating (tractor hire for launch available from the boat club $10 per day non members), crayfishing, diving, snorkeling, swimming or surfing, peace and tranquility or just rest and relaxation
